Whether you are dieting or wanting to eat a healthier, salad is something you should eat daily. It's high in Vitamins, antioxidants and fiber. The fiber will help you feel fuller longer, curbing your appetite. Add some vegetables like peppers, fruit and/or nuts for variety. Add protein with some grilled chicken or salmon.
Below is a list of different types of greenery for a healthy salad. Save money by buying fresh and create your own mixed salad instead of bagged.

TT-Cleaning your washer
Ok so it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Mom loves liquid fabric softener, I don't. I prefer to clean the machine before I use it for my loads. You can see the water line. If you look closer you can see I took a swab to reveal a film. That is what fabric softener leaves behind on your clothes with soap.
- Stop using fabric softener
- Get some wool dryer balls
- Add some vinegar to your rinse cycle
- Try Eco-Nuts
- Make your own Laundry soap=no soap scum
To clean your machine you need to use the hottest and fullest setting. You are going to add a mixture to the hot water. Let it agitate for a few seconds then stop. You want the mixture to sit 10-30mins depending on how dirty it is.
While it soaks you can take this time to dip a cloth in the solution and wipe the lid, sides and top where the water doesn't reach.
After the elapsed time allow the machine to drain and spin.
Solution:
Add 3 cups of white vinegar and 1/2 of baking soda. The photo to the right is what my son cause MAGIC. Reaction of vinegar and baking soda.
Smile and admire your clean washer & savings.

Baking Soda .16

Eco-Friendly Baby Shower Gifts
Becoming a Mom can be a wonderful and yet stressful time. The baby registry is one of those stresses and it shouldn't be. I have had several horrible experiences with a very large well known Baby Store. Needless to say they don't have a selection of Eco-Friendly baby products. The few stores that specialize in Eco-Friendly baby/child products/toys come with a steep price. Thank goodness for Amazon and green sprouts. I decided to create this list Eco-friendly baby shower gifts to elevate some of that stress. They are all reasonably priced, have great reviews and PVC & BPA free. Feel free to leave your suggestions in the comment section.

Keurig B40 Elite Brewing System
Do you have a coffee or tea lover on your Christmas list?
We love our Keurig B40 Elite Brewing System which we purchased in July. Two very big coffee drinkers and one who loves variety. We purchased coffee grinds in stock and the Ekobrew is a perfect solution. My Mom and I are faithful fans of Chock Full O Nuts. My husband likes to try every brand and flavor k-ups.
Disclosure: These are products I purchased on my own behalf. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this post.

GreenChild Creations Review & #Giveaway
I admire soap makers. As a conditioner and lotion crafter I know the time and love needed to make a wonderful product. My recent quest is to test various soap bars that I would recommend to family and friends. My first review was on goat's milk soap. Sometimes you have to step out of the box. This review is on Vegan natural soap by GreenChild Creations. Anne and I exchanged emails about our love for creating our own products. We use similar products for moisturizing our skin like coconut oil and natural scents from essential oils.

Toddler crafting should be fun and stress free. As I attempted the above cute craft with my 3.5 year old son, he had a total meltdown over the roll being dipped in paint. Win some , you lose some. Eventually he calmed down and stamped a few sheets. We made different shapes too.

Salt Dough Hearts and craft paint.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup cold water
Mix the salt and flour in a large bowl. Slowly add water and knead the dough on a flat surface. If the dough is too sticky add some flour. If it cracks while rolling out thinly add some water and try again. Just like baking the dough is affected by weather conditions.
Poke a hole using a straw. I allow mine to air dry for a few days, turning them over to ensure they dry evenly. Once they are completely dry then paint. The number of coats depends on the paint.
You may bake them at 200F until dry. They may form bubbles & discoloring.
FYI you can do this for any holiday. I made shamrocks for St Patty's day too.
Goat Milk Stuff Review
Do you have itchy, dry skin and nothing seems to help soothe the itch? I have been suffering since September 2009. I developed an unexplained rash/hives on my
stomach and legs. I tried prescription antihistamines & cortisone cream with no luck. I was already using clear laundry
detergent and no fabric softeners. I didn't start anything new. The mystery continued.

Glass bloc, lights, ribbon and stickers/die cut.
I used a unique fabric called Smart-Fab to cut out Love on the cricuit. I added ribbon around the border and heart stickers we had on hand.
You can find tons of inspiration on Pinterest like frosted glass or decals.
