Thursday's Tip-Wool Dryer Balls
Looking for an Eco-friendly alternative to dryer sheets? Wool dryer balls. You can use anywhere from 2-8 with your clothes to reduce drying time, reduce static and soften your fabrics. *Static may still occur with fleece fabrics. Wool dryer balls are also safe for cloth diapers unlike commercial fabric softeners.
Did you know dryer sheets leave a film on fabrics? Could that be why so many use them to reduce water marks on facets? Are you sensitive to the fragrance oils? Did you know it can aggregate skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis?
Now you can makes this wonder balls yourself with wool batting. You will find several techniques online. You basically wrap the wool into a softball using a felting needle to push fibers inward. You then stuff a few in a nylon stocking and wash on hot then dry on high. Repeat the wash/dry and you are ready.
