Yesterday I had a headache that just wouldn't quit. It was a combination of an allergy and tension headache. It was building since the weekend and my usual preventative methods was not working. -Ibuprofen, Essential Oils, Hot shower, Ice pack, Saline spray & Allergy pills. Now I was hungry but nauseous from the pain and the thought of eating wasn't appealing. It was time to try something different.

Toy Challenge
I wish I could say the room looks like the previous post.
But it doesn't look like this either.
Jr is getting used to the bins. They are light enough for him to carry room to room since we scaled back some toys.
Our biggest challenge is sticking to a cleaning schedule. He bounces room to room so much it's hard to catch him to clean up. He does (or daddy) clean up before bedtime or leaving the house.
Soon he will be 4 which means more toys. Time to start thinking about what goes.

My almost 4 year old love these. I made them in mini muffin pans for him.

Homemade Toothpaste
Oh coconut oil how I love Thee! If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have taken the plunge into making my own deodorant swearing it wouldn't work. Pardon but I never had such soft armpits in my life. No stink either. I swore I wouldn't try deodorant and it's proven me wrong. FYI Try this in the cool months first.
A year later I am giving in to temptation and trying toothpaste. I held back so long because of coconut oil. Glycerin & baking soda is already present in commercial products and so is peroxide.
Summer 2013
These three plants caught my eye for this summer. What do you think?
Lemon Catmint
(Nepeta cataria 'Citriodora') If you have cats, you’ll be happy to know that
they aren’t usually fond of the lemon scented catmint. Catmint can
be a messy, sprawling, floppy plant, so don’t be hesistant to
harvest and cut it back hard. Lemon catmint is a bit better behaved
than the common ornamental catmints. This lemon scented herb grows
to about 3' tall and has winter flowers in mid-summer.
TT-Ditch the towel
Ditch the towel and switch to cotton t-shirts to dry your hair! T-shirts have a smoother texture than towels and reduce friction which prevents most frizz.
Bend at the waist with your head down. The neckline of the shirt is against my forehead. I take the sleeves and tie it at the base of my neck. I then take the waist and tie that above the sleeves. The curls are piled in the middle of the shirt.
Never rub any fabric to dry your hair. Squeeze your hair instead. Remember curls love moisture so don't squeeze out all the water. Just enough so it's not dripping on your shirt. I use a new T-shirt daily and wash with the towels.

WW-Philadelphia Flower Show
March 8th my husband and I went to our first Philadelphia Flower Show. We were a bit disappointed. Many exhibitors didn't stick to the British Theme. We spent more time with at the mini shops inside.

TT-Cleaning your cricut mat
I love my cricut however the mats become messy fast. I am sure I am using the wrong depth for the blade since my mats are severely marked and I barely use it. That's a whole other subject.

Snikiddy Snacks
The Snikiddy Story:
Founded in late 2006 by Mary Schulman and her mother, Snikiddy® creates products for families actively looking for healthier foods that satisfy their snack cravings. The Snikiddy brand is a portfolio of better for you snacks that are simple, wholesome real products for families. So dig in, it’s all good.
Where did the name come from? Snikiddy® is a shortened (and let’s face it, easier to say) form of the word persnickety, which means choosy or picky. Growing up, Janet (Mary’s mom) and her siblings were known around school as the Snikiddy kids (a badge they wore proudly) because they always ate healthy lunches. Their mom (Grandma), ahead of her time with her passion for good health, would pack their lunch boxes full of locally grown produce and very simple foods. A teacher once referred to them as being persnickety and the kids’ version of the word (snikiddy) stuck.
