Lovely Salad

It seems as though my Cholesterol just keeps climbing. It's time for a stricter diet. Meet my new lunch buddy!

• Mixed green salad with spinach
• Drained and rinsed Chickpeas
• Diced Red Bell Peppers
• Sliced Almonds
• Feta Cheese
• Few Raisins
• Honey
• Garlic Powder

I never thought I would love a salad as much as this. PLUS it's filling because of the chickpeas. Did you know they are pretty darn good for you too! They seem to do something to cholesterol levels and sugar levels.

Chickpeas have their own mild taste alone but blends with other food in the dish. Seasoning is the key! If you don't like garlic, pick another spice.

Punch Art-I started...

Have you ever seen those adorable punch art images? You use multiple punches to layer them to create an image like a lion or a flower. I have been pinning these images for awhile now. Today I decided to follow my own advice and just make one. Just Start!

I hesitate for months because I don't have many punches but I do have a cricut with a handful of cartridges that cut shapes.

I picked a character I couldn't simply cut on the cricut & was related to Christmas. How does Sam look? I think he turned out pretty good for my first attempt.

I started with a punch elf art and matched shapes to my cartridges. I cut several sizes until I was content. Below are cutting details.

RANT:

Being a stay at home parent means you have to be tough as nails. There is no giving in to the crying when they are bored of cleaning up yet want to make a mess. Or the million other excuses that come next.

If you think us stay at home parents have it easy and get to play all day, think again!

Just Start!

Recently people have been telling me how talented and crafty I am. I think "really"? I feel as though my ideas are just copies from inspiration I see on the web or Pinterest. Majority of the ideas don't just come to mind. I spent a good year drooling over Martha type crafts wondering how in the world she did that.

I woke up one day and stopped wondering and gave it a try. I tried and tried, over and over again. I wasn't successful overnight. So stop sitting there saying "I can't do what she did" if you haven't given it a try. You just need the right inspiration and tools.

I put my craftiness to the test this last month by signing up for Vendor Shows as a Lilla Rose Consultant. When I joined in April I had zero plans on doing demonstrations. I was strictly going to stick to online sales and friends/family.

A light bulb went off one day. I look for inspiration for holiday decorations and tablescapes, why not for direct sales?

How can I make my table stand out? Yes the clips sell themselves but something has to catch a person's eye right? I started by looking for a color theme. Do I want to stay with the companies colors or do I want to change with the holidays or seasons?
