Pure Fitness Nutrition #Review

Protein bars have a historical connotation as being fairly disgusting.  Between the weird texture and artificial flavors, it really was a struggle to eat them. Not any more. recently Pure Fitness Nutrition sent me three of their protein bars to try, and let me tell you, this things are amazing.

The foundation of the bar is whey protein isolate. Whey isolates yield a higher percentage of pure protein and can be filtered enough to be virtually lactose free, carbohydrate free, fat free, and cholesterol free. This type of protein is terrific for elping to build lean muscle.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Crunch tasted exactly as you would expect. All of the flavors blend perfectly with a satisfyingly sweet peanut flavor. The crunch was brought in by using pretzel bits which helped to balance the sweetness with their saltiness.

The Banana Chocolate Nut bar was my favorite. It was like eating a fresh piece of banana bread. When it was gone, I was more than a little disappointed.

Dark Cranberry Chocolate had a more sophisticated flavor that you would expect from the name. There was no overpowering sweetness here, just the slight bitter of dark chocolate and that alluring cranberry tartness.

These bars are labeled as being meal replacements, a claim that I would agree with. I ate each of these in place of my normal breakfast, and found myself to be satisfied until lunch.

If I were to have a negative opinion about these bars, it would have to be the stickiness. I don't know if it was the honey or the agave, but these bars really stuck to my teeth. I mean, "finger in the mouth to remove things" sticky. Not a big deal early in the morning, but enough to keep me from eating one before a staff meeting at work.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
