- Thyme is considered a natural expectorant and high in antioxidants. It has a strong bitter taste. I fill my Ekobrew with at least one heaping teaspoon of dried Thyme in my Keurig. You also can use an empty tea bag or strainer. I add a green tea bag, honey and some lemon. http://www.ehow.com/list_6184565_health-benefits-thyme-tea_.html
- Green tea is also high in antioxidants. Flavonoids expel free radicals. It has shown to be beneficial for inflamed skin too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_tea

DIY Vapor Disc
I would place the disc in the back of the shower, away from the water. Close the door for added benefits.
The thieves, you mix all the oils and then store for dilution depending on the specific need? I've only ever bought the stuff and it's normally ready for use right away.
ReplyDeleteYes this mix is just the essential oils to add where you like. What have you been buying? Brand? Store? It might be a cleaner with Thieves oil in the mix.

Very interested in the Vapor Disc for the shower. Never heard of that before. Lots of good ideas here. So far so good this season but we still have plenty of flu season ahead. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOne week after the germs entered the house and I am still hanging in there. I have some chest congestion and increased phlegm but not a cold.
ReplyDeletepopping in to say HI from blogger resource
ReplyDeleteI love the DIY recipe for shower discs! That's my favorite way to decongest, plus a hot shower helps relax my muscles and allows me to sleep better when I'm sick. I think I'm the only person I know who has not yet succumbed this year...which means I'll feel like crud tomorrow, probably. Oh well...at least I have some tools to fight it now! :) Thanks!
