Part front of the hair as you like (here I did in the middle.)

 

Place hairband about an inch behind the hairline.  Gently tease the hair at the crown.

 

Roll hair in front of hairband into the back of the hairband. 

Use multiple Elastics and secure a ponytail allowing hair to poof between elastics.

This style also works for shorter hair that can not be pulled into a ponytail as seen below.
